Boilers underground - for copper ingots - where to look or random/rare?

Been looking for em since I unlocked copper ingots and thus far nadda in three regions.

Check the in-game encyclopedia for where you can find any and all things. I know these will spawn underground just about anywhere. I forget what surface regions have them though. Lava flats, I think?

Pedia just mentions underground and above ground on lava flats - just curious if they show up underground more often in any particular region typel.

It also mentions that the area must be tier 2 I believe.

I can't find these either.  My continent is Tier 2, if that's what you mean by "Tier 2 Area".

But since it's only the first continent, I don't have any Lava areas.


I'd really like to find these so I can craft Ride the Lightning, but I can't find 'em!

 I'm not sure exactly where boilers appear, but most often I see them in underground missions.

Here are the locations which i find them most often:

Boss gang mission caves
Underground secret mission staging area
Rescue survivor from cave

It COULD be just randomness...but so far I've only seen them in Skelebot Junkyards and Grasslands undergrounds.

Once you see one, you'll know.  They're huge.

They also explode, so watch out.
