redeem on steam? [SOLVED!]

so, can is there any way to redeem our direct copies purchases on steam?

i would very much like to do so...

Edit by moderator: As of August 29th, 2012, AVWW keys purchased from a non-steam source are successfully registering on steam!  If you experience problems with this, please let us know.

Hi! Welcome to the forums.

The short answer to your question is... not yet. Valve has told us that they will be honoring the code you already have, it's just a matter of when. In the past, they've taken as long as three weeks, this time it might be more, it might be less. But when they to start, you can use the key you already have!

Is there a way to get my license key again? In game it just says base game is unlocked and i dont have the email any more .

Listen.. I love y'all and everything you do, but i'm a bit annoyed at not having my key being redeemed on Steam. There are a lot of Steam functions I like to use and achievements as well. I know a lot of gamers aren't into that, but I enjoy it.

Can you please give us a better time frame?

Do I have to request for a steam key if I purchase from gamersgate? The key doesn't look like typical steam key.
Also the will I be able to preserve the save game/world from my current copy?

Steam says my key is not valid. :( I won the key in that Moddb giveaway along with Tidalis a while back and copy+Pasted it into Steam, I even tried with no dashes and no spaces at all and it still tells me that Steam is invalid. It doesn't look anything like what Steam says Keys should look like, is this one special? The Tidalis Key I won works fine.
