[RESOLVED] Steam game won't start

i bought the game today, but when I try and start it a blank window opens (like it's going to start the game) and then stops responding. I've tried to just let it run, thinking it might need time to load, to no avail.

Sorry for the trouble!  When something like this happens with a Steam game, 99% of the time the game just didn't download properly.  If you right-click the game and hit properties, then go in and verify the steam cache, it will download whatever files it's missing and you'll be good to go!

I also tried every attempts, but it failed eventually.
How can I play this game?

Not like that problem.
It can't be launched about .exe file.

Did you verify your steam cache of local files? Again, it really sounds like an incomplete download of the game from steam.

Reinstalled it, restarted the computer and low and behold: IT'S ALIVE!!!
