Went AFK and forgot to Pause, game didn't autosave for 30+ minutes

As the title says, I went AFK and somehow forgot to pause.  By the time I got back over 30 minutes later, I had lost.  Yet much to my surprise, the last autosave (set to every 10 minute) had been before I left and went AFK.  Was this intentional?

Does the game not autosave if you're AFK?  If so, I applaud the developers for this incredibly useful feature ;p

Most likely you lost before the Autosave. I know I gone AFK for almost an hour sometimes well I knew the game was running and I had the autosave also set to every 10 minutes appear. It takes a long time to fly a Spire Shard 68 words after all.

I'm pretty sure it uses a different name for autosaves that happen after the game has officially been won or lost, probably for just such an occasion :)
