Newbie Friendly Game
« on: April 29, 2010, 04:58:18 PM »
Hey, I just bought this game and it's expansion, played the tutorials and most of the intermediate one and I'm a big fan so far and I'd really like to get a game going. I'd like to fix that, specifically for the less experienced players such as my self. So what exactly am I asking? I'm asking if anyone else would be interested in starting out a nice beginner friendly game, preferably with as many other fresh players as we can get, with maybe 1 or 2 experienced players so we don't get stomped right off.

So, who's with me?

I will like to drop my name in this hat. I'm not some juggernaut, but I have put in a few dozen games.

I think 4 players sounds good enough, everyone OK with starting next Friday at around 5:00 PM EST? If not we can negotiate a time.

If any other players want in, it's still open, we've only got 5 so far I think. I plan on using COMODO as I don't know how setting up a server without it works.

Just use COMODO, it's the same thing 'cept we have a general AI Wars network, and since networks on that have unlimited users, we really don't need to make a new one. There's a sticky about it in this section of the board along with the download link. Alternatively I could use a more classic join-by-IP, but I have a bad case of Idontknowmyownipitas. Alternatively to the alternative we now have a handy Hamachi network thanks to CRIT RAWKETS.
