I just got Core Factory Rushed!

   80 planets, difficulties 6 and 7, personalities @ moderate difficulty
 
   I had luck with getting core frigate factory at 3 jump from my home planet.
   But at AI progress around 130 and 10h, I just got my precious core factory
   raided in matter of few minutes with mainly Lv.4 teleporting stations! What a
   surprise. ^_^ Game was still in middle stage but I waved white flag.

   It happened so suddenly I was shocked.
   My main forces were on other fronts and I think I didn't defend it well enough.

   Also, the attack seems so random.
   Was it border aggression? Special force? or some random event specifically
   designed to hunt down human core/IV factory?

   Any way this game is good at surprising me!

you need to defend your factory ... the AI is brainy and wont give in , if you capture one of there critical objects they willl fight and they will give a fight to you within minutes (or in some cases seconds)

AI is the best ... he flanked me 4-way i was like '   ' not happy

just keep a look out and after 20 hours of game play youll become a veteran at the game

always a good idea to give IV factories defences, even if they are on a backwater world that is not near the front

hundreds of IV factories lost to teleporters, cloakers or the runaway electric bomber wave cant be wrong

20? Please. I've got probably close to 50 and i'm still mediocre at best (only 1 win under my belt)

   I have to second since I played 30h but still no win... 
   I guess I was playing more for relax than aggressive play.

50 i think
and then 80

im currently on 120 planets and its too hard

dont you find that a game you cant lose quickly gets boring?

I think its more of a question of how you want to spend your time and perhaps wanting to at least finish a game instead of constantly starting over. I see merit in both positions but if I haven't beaten the game yet I'm more likely to 'save scumm' so I can at least see the end or if I'm attached to what I've already accomplished.
