Are they worth it? I'm currently experimenting with them, but after seeing some lackluster results with command station raids, I decided to check their bonus stats.

And you get a pretty lackluster picture. Sure, Mk1 electric bombers have an attack of 8,000 compared to 200 for a mk1 bomber, but I think most people are only going to be using electric bombers in groups of 8, giving 44800 total attack power, compared to 39600 for a full cap of mk1 bombers. Sure, that's more attack power for the electric bombers, but not by much, and once you add in the attack bonuses (x8 against command stations, x30 against heavy defenses), I'm really not sure if Electric Bombers are all that worthwhile to use, especially as a first pick in a game.
Will report more once I've gotten a better feel for them. In the meantime, I'd like some outside input.
Update: Takes 8 Mk1, 8 Mk2, 8 Mk3 Electric Bombers a volley and a half to kill a mk1 command station (12 seconds total), and 8 volleys to kill a special forces guard post (84 seconds). While they may look impressive, they're just not dangerous enough to actually accomplish anything without getting overwhelmed, it seems. Yes, the hitpoints and speed help, but in such low numbers they're still quite vulnerable. I think I'd recommend they basically get close to the same bonuses as bombers so they're usable for the things bombers are supposed to be good at.
And for reference, here's the numbers for the mk3 comparison. 1,400 damage for Mk3 heavy bombers, 56,000 for mk3 electric bombers. Total of 193,200 (heavy bomber) vs. 313,600 damage (for 8 electric bombers). About 2.5 times the damage against a normal target for the electric bombers, but against the targets bombers should be good at, doesn't even come close to being worthwhile (627,200 per firing cycle against heavy defenses for mk3 electric bombers? You're expecting that fortress with 8,800,000 hitpoints to die when?)
