As in cup or up.

That does sound different; interesting too. Your example words were helpful.

I always think of arcen as Arsen.. which gives me several giggles none of which are rated teen ;p Mainly because of the German meaning of Arsen -> http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arsen

Neinzul .. well i only call it n'zul , as that seems to be a legitimate way to shorten the nein in this case ;p And it reminds me of WoW..... which i swore never again to touch, ever.!

As for Zenith

Theres in german Zenit + Remnant = Zenit Remnant !

Also think x4000 needs to cut down on the LSD when naming stuff though, as all these names, including AI War, are completely incompatible with a casual talk between 2 people ! ;P

Mainly because of AI which sounds like EI .. Ei-Waghhh , sounds like orkish! (the Wh40k kind)

"Zenith Remnant" at least is actually real words.  AND pronounced in one of the music files "We've discovered the Zenith Remnant."

Ya, the fact that it's in the soundtrack helps a lot.

I've been pronouncing it "Nine'zle" like "fizzle" but with a "Nein" instead of a "fiz"!

I was pronouncing it like nine-zool, but nine-zle (like puzzle) seems to flow better - I think I prefer that.

As for Arcen - I've always assumed it was pronounced ark-en.

I've always used "arsen" for pronunciation. I find it quite hilarious that we are split on how to pronounce the name of this company, not even taking into account all the other uncertainties.

I thought it was pronounced after the logo, which features an arc.

I had a fun idea:
http://www.ivona.com/

Try typing in all the names, do mind that single word is accented differently than in a sentence so it may sound vastly different. Also, while I prefer the british voices pronunciation, the differences between british and american ones are hilarious at times. :D

Also, romanian and polish voices should bring you some laughs when reading stuff from other languages :D

This should illuminate matters: http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,2779.0.html.

Ah, shame on me for not searching.

Well...I guess I could start saying "ar-ken" instead of "arson". But I'm still pronouncing "frigate" as "cruiser" until I hear some good arguments against.

Thats actually hilarious AND useful, never knew of that site, but the standard voice is exceptional good, nearly 90% human like.

In fact, that might be the best text-to-speech i have ever seen till now!
