By the way, I knew that Simple Machines forum's can restrict sub-forum read access to unauthorized users, but I never knew they could hide a sub-forum's existence to unauthorized users.

You know the URLs for each sub-forum end with "board,2.0.html" or something, each sub-forum with its own ID? Well, after stepping through some of them, there seemed to be some suspicious gaps where it said where it could not find or I did not have access to the board given (it did not specify which). I'm guessing your "top-secret" sub-forums are in there somewhere?

Yeah, some of them are there, and then also those are various older deleted boards.

Well, as a non-admin, I'll never know the difference. I guess it will just be one of those mysteries for the ages. (or at least one for a few hours)

There's nothing that exciting in the private forums.  It's just where we can speak... privately.  Most of the stuff that was discussed in the Tidalis one is either already now public, or was discarded, or in a very few cases has just been shelved for potential future use.  We did most of what we set out to do... and way more, really.
