I quit EVE some five or so years ago because I thought real life was superior.

Now real life has quit me.

Is EVE worth getting back into? I did some hi-sec piracy a year or so ago, and it felt like the same old.

EVE is still EVE. If you didn't like it then, you're not going to like it now. The whole "forge your own destiny" can really get dull if you don't have any goals. Or friends. Lack of friends to do stuff with is a big showstopper actually.

This is very true. The opposite is also true. I once played Eve with a group of at least 10 friends and our own corporation, and the "forge your own destiny" style of the game was EXTREMELY fun in that setting.

I think they crashed and burned in a horrible fire about 1,5 years ago. They're likely still around in one shape or form, but RAK as it was is gone.

Tried to find them via google, but to no avail...sad! 

Flying with [RAK] was the best time I ever had with any MMO ever. And the only time that EVE ever felt like fun to me. <oldgeezermode> The things we did, you wouldn't believe 

I'd be back in the game in a heartbeat if only I could find them.
