Something wrong with Hamachi Multiplayer
« on: July 31, 2011, 02:20:28 PM »
So a friend and I are trying to get a multiplayer game going, and Hamachi worked, until I hit "Start Game" After that, he lost connection. So I figured, just try again. We were still connected to the same network, "AI War EJ", and even tried the "AI War: Fleet Command 3" but despite the fact that we are connected to the networks, when ever he or I tries to play multiplayer while the other is hosting, there is nothing in the LAN box (Hamachi is supposed to simulate LAN, right?) and typing the other's ip into direct connect, which worked the first time, no longer works. Does anyone know what is causing these issues?

Apologies if this has already been solved elsewhere, I checked a bunch of other threads and found nothing.

It sounds like your connection isn't really there, but hard to say.  I'd suggest restarting AI War on both machines, and Hamachi on both machines.  And be sure to start AI War after Hamachi is started, or else the network adapter of Hamachi won't be available to AI War (possibly).  Hope that helps!

Okay, I'll try that out. Thanks!
