Yep.  PHP 5.3 rocks, apparently. :)

I wonder if this will fix the midnight timeouts I always used to get. I remember that the forums and mantis and the wiki would always drag and start timing out around midnight central time for me. I haven't tried it around that time lately though, so I'm not sure. Here's hoping though.

Christ, that did indeed do a lot of difference, even at this POS crap of an internet connection I have at work.

Those are probably backups being run by rackspace, so I'm thinking that might not help.

I'm always sad that links to attachments don't have the correct extensions (they are links like http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=11098.0;attach=5338 which Chrome won't open even though that link actually returns a .png image) so I can't click on them and view them in Chrome.  Instead it downloads them.  And HoverZoom doesn't work either :( .

Yeah, that's buggering to the extreme. A LOT of pages do this and it completely buggers up some things. Even some download pages use some kind of script that is supposed to trigger the download, but that doesn't work on some browsers, so instead you click the link and select "Save link as..." to download the file, but lo and behold you get a file.php instead. *rage*

But I don't think there's much Chris can do about it.

You should be able to use open with... to point it back to your browser at which point it will open. But I agree that it's kind of annoying.

That mostly happens on my phone though, but I see what you are saying. Many, many pages out there are completely oblivious to phones. Mostly those "free file sharing" services such as megaupload and others. Hilariously enough, the stuff I want to download from there are usually third party ROMS and addons for my Android. But can't do it from my Android. ... vat?

I have had that happen so many times I want to beat a server to death whenever it happens now.

As nonviolent as I am, I completely agree.
