Crate Jumping

Is this intended to be possible? I discovered that a player can jump great heights by jumping, putting a crate below his/her feet and then jumping again. if it's done right, you can do it theoretically infinitely, if it weren't for the vertical boundary. I kind of like it as it's really useful for escaping holes in the thawing plains without wasting a lot of crates, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a feature or not.

Why has everybody suddenly started doing this, that is what i want to know?

Personally My chosen way to get out of deep holes is jumping, teleporting upwards and then storm dashing across, it looks cool if naught else.

I'm glad we can at least jump off boxes now. before 0.900 I couldn't jump off boxes which was annoying in rooms with a lot of boxes lol

Yeah, that's how I found it. I had a jump enchant and RTL, but still couldn't get high enough. So I tried Crate Stacking and discovered that you could do this. It's a lot like prop hopping in Portal, actually.
