After being pleasantly surprised with how great AI War is I bought Tidalis without hesitation. Installing it now.

1: Was it destroyed by a Warhead interceptor? These do not cause damage, but, despite their tooltip, do increase AI Progress.

Just tested this. They were getting destroyed by a Warhead Interceptor.

You will capture the factory by building the command station and it will remain yours after your command station is destroyed.

Ah, I thought it would only remain mine if I had a command station. This is good to know.  :)

AI War Strategy Discussion / Re: Playing "Faster" Games

Here are a few thoughts...

If you're attacking a planet that you know you won't have trouble with I don't think it's necessary to send raid starships in before. Just send the blob in and while it's attacking send starships to take out guard posts or whatever else.

You don't need all of your ships to be attacking. Leave a few hundred, or however many necessary depending on the size of the waves, back in your system to use to defend. This way you can attack and defend at the same time.

I purge planets as a I move my fleet forward. That way I rarely have to go back to purge them again since their reinforcement levels are low.

I'm not sure. I'll have to check. Do Warhead Interceptors shoot a projectile or will the warhead just get destroyed when it enters the system?

2: That is their Mark Level. Mk. V is the highest. (I assume you mean the roman numeral.)

Not that. I'm referring to the two percentage numbers beside the name, like this: Bomber II 100%/100%

3: It depends on what you need it for. If you need a golem or an ARS or something, then you can scrap the command station after repair/capture and then it will resume being friendly.

In my current game there's a mkIV factory on the planet with the Dyson Sphere. I don't think I can win the game without it.

AI War / Questions and Comments

Hi,

I would like to say thank you and congratulations to Arcen Games for creating and supporting a fantastic game in AI War. The game has a lot of depth and challenge. The forums and wiki are a wealth of knowledge. The whole package feels very refined and well done. Here are some comments and questions that I have:

- In the descriptions of all the missiles it says they will detonate if the enemy destroys them. This doesn't happen. They just get destroyed while incurring the AI Progress penalty.

- What do the numbers that show up by the selected ship names represent? This was added in one of the 5.?? betas.

- If I want to capture a planet with a Dyson Sphere on it, what are the best options to defend against it?
