A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2 / Re: Stuck on 2nd continent?

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

You could have gone back and cast the sunrise/nighttime spells, they advance the mission timer across all continents. There is a Mantis issue about the seeding of mission rewards taking into account their position in the wind.
Your method did the trick. Sun- and moonstones were found quickly and the newly spawned missions had me end up with one only 2 fields deep into the windstorm (2.1 damage per tick at full health - quite ok) rewarding me with a residential and storage tower. :)
Now I only need that level 1 lumbermancer to get going.

EDIT: And the RNG asked me: "And you really think that's going to be simple? Think again, fool."
Of course I also needed granite. And guess who doesn't find any granite when needed...? Well, at least now I have a good stockpile of copper and crystal. :D

A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2 / Stuck on 2nd continent?

Hey everyone!

Now that I finally was able to dispose of the 1st continent's evil overlord I happily sailed on to the 2nd just to find myself somehow stuck. (Not the character is stuck but the continent's development itself)
How?

I'll try to explain:
At first I watched out for missions that would allow me to quickly upgrade my spells to tier 2 so I could easily advance the continent's tier without regretting it sooner or later. But those missions' rewards weren't what I needed.
So my second approach was to look for guardian powers to upgrade (or rather establish) my settlement. So I got myself several powers to create buildings. Only to find that my residents' skill levels are still too low to execute/use those powers. -.-
As I'm a clever person I came to the conclusion that I'd probably first need a residential and storage tower. Where to find that? Right - it's there as a reward for a mission about 10 fields deep into the windstorm. (Where I take about 16 damage/s)
Solution: Build a windshelter. Wait. No. That would require higher skill levels.

That's my current situation. In my settlement there are 3 residents (Aquaurgist, Stonebinder, Apothekineticist) and 0 buildings. The resulting skill levels are all at 1 and the available power scrolls require at least 2 (Stonebinder Tri-Tower) or 3 (Seek survivor, Summon Windshelter, other buildings...).

So, do you have any thoughts on how to resolve my dilemma? :)
