AI War / So what is the current record for most units in one system?

AI War / Can I disable AI Eyes from spawning?

I know the AI uses some pretty cheese tactics some times but this one takes the cake. How can I turn them off?

I was starting an invasion of a markIV world with a planetary shield booster. I assumed that is had a sane amount of health like the radar jammer that ailed me on a previous world. After rushing it i realized that it had 2,000,000,000 health :-\

What am i supposed to do with this thing? Normally id just destroy anything that causes planet wide effects quickly and move on.

AI War / Ships not targeting properly

In my current game all of my ships are having extreme difficulty targeting. Of my fleet of 1000, less then 100 ships are actually shooting yet they all have targets in range.

It has stopped me from playing for the time being.

AI War / Strange buildup of forces

In my current game there is a mark IV planet with over 4000 units on it. I have never had any units on or near this planet besides scouts though. It has never been alerted. What could be causing a particular planet to gain so many reinforcements? Its built up to the point of border agression and i now have a stream of markIV ships flying across the galaxy to get me.

Tidalis / Pronunciation?

Is Tidalis pronouced Ti-dalis (sounds like Dallas, Texus) or Tid-a-lis (sounds like titillating)? ???

Tidalis / Custom AI War theme

This is a Custom AI war theme i put together. Picture is worth 1000 words. Pictures however cant describe the music. I used the main menu music from AI War w/o Zenith Remnant. For dire music i simply increased the tempo.



Unfortunately because i don't know how to make new weather, I was forced to overwrite existing weather. So don't be surprised to find fleet ships in the river. :P

The forum wont let me attach the file, because the 6.2 mb file goes over the 8 mb limit :-\. So megaupload will suffice.

To install, simply extract to your Tidalis directory. Backups for things that are overwriten are included.

This is my first puzzle. I call it Reflex. I think it should be a little bit difficult, but i cant really tell since i made it and know the solution. It is to be solved in 2 moves. I only know of one solution.

AI War Strategy Discussion / Questions about Raid Engines.

In my time playing AI war i haven't seen many raid engines, so i haven't had a good chance to examine there behavior.

1. What exactly causes raid engines to go off? is it a large force on the current or adjacent planet or will an alerted planet cause the raid engine to start up? If I wipe out a neighbouring planet to a raid engine, will that cause it to start and keep going indefinitely?

2. Where do these raids appear? Do they come directly out of the raid engine or do they appear at a wormhole on the offending planet?

AI War / Why do Gatts ignore starships?

Why is it the Gatts completely ignore starships until everything else in the system has been killed off? they dont even shoot at them as they pass by. if there is some hidden strategy that they are trying to do by getting shot up by starships and not retaliating then i think they could use an upgrade to there logic because at present i dont see any good reason why they would behave like this.

so how would someone go about surviving this? the presence of a special forces captain makes matters a bit worse too.
