AI War Strategy Discussion / Ancient Shadows Mourner question

Basicly, i think Devs did a rather poor job with the Journal entries of Ancient Shadows :D
I entered the third nebular and its the one with the Mourner Neinzul Hive.
No, i have friggin clue what i should do. Should i destroy all the Prison Cell ? Or destroy not a single Prison Cell but help protect the Neinzul Base ?

AI War Strategy Discussion / Core World approach

So, i played AI War for like 50 hours before ancient shadows came out. Never managed to win a game on 8 and decided to take a break. Now bought AS, fired up and it appears i had some luck with galacy creation. I have played only 4 hours so far, my bonus ship was the autogun minipod, i found a ARS which yielded acid sprayers and i got a AF in addition to a Fabricator for Missile Frigs V.
AI is at 99 and i feel like im doing extraordinary good. For AS, i got the gatling dysons (OP ?) as well as two more wormholes for 6 each of the yellow and dark blue spire vessels.
The AI seems to send large chunks of spire railclusters at me.

Now, this is my current layout

Im left, the system is cleared and the one to the right is mostly done, too.
Now, i dont know how to proceed. Should i get a full base 2 clicks before the core world (bottom right) or a warp-sensor base on the one right on the top of the core world ?
As far as i can see, both systems offer no strategic value (i.e. ressources or controlable buildings).

So...im looking for something like a minesweeper ship that i can jump through a minefield'ed wormhole and clear the minefields. But i cant a ship like this. Am i blind ?

AI War Technical Support / Remains Rebuilder BUG

When you order the construction of a remains rebuilder and shift shift/strg+v in order to get it into autoassist right from the beginning, it will not work.
Basicly, you have to FRD him again once he is constructed. This must be a bug, because it works with stock engineers. Its really really annoying. Please fix.

Howdi,

so i spend about 3 hours playing the Demo. The goal seems to be to kill leutnants to weaken the overseer and then kill the overseer. In order to do that, you run around and collect crafting materials and do bonus missions. What i did is randomly do some missions to find enchants (?) and go really deep into some caverns. I think i freed a prisoner and i found a whole lot of saphire and really few opal.
Now, would i would like to know for now:

- How can i get food for the guys in the settlement ? They are all starving
- can you craft enchants ? If so, how ?
- I can only create a ball of lightning spell and a rock throw lvl 2 (which i already have). What am i missing in order to create my own spells (can i?)

hello,

i downloaded the Demo over steam and played the game in Trial Mode without entering a code. I dont want to redownload the full game (would take 3 hours) so im wondering if i can just buy a "upgrade code" to upgrade my Trial to full and keep my character ?!

I watched a tiny bit of Youtube on it, and it seems to be a lot like Aquaria and Metroid mixed up with some more rpg-stuff ?

So, i often read how people use transport to bring ships somewhere. I have to understand what exactly the uses for a transport ship are.
Can you guys please describe just a few situations were transports are good and how oyu use them ?

For some reason, AI War is increasingly making me go mad.
I just used google, this forum and the wiki to find out how i unpower / low power selected ships. For example, i need to unpower 2 spirecraft vessels but i cant find out how do that.

AI War Strategy Discussion / Various things

So, basicly im a noob at this game. I played the tutorial and a bunch of campaigns but never finished one.
I play in a realistic galaxy with 2 AIs set to 7. I have all XPs enabled, but shipset set to simple.

here are my questions:

- How do you kill AI Fortresses ? Bombers are shred due to the burst fire of the fortress and i dont see anything "artillery" that outranges it (+ no immunity)
- How do you see WHERE a wave is coming from ? I build the warp sensors but i never figured out which wormhole to barricade. Cant you find out where the wave is coming from, assuming you dont kill all but one adjacent warp gate ?
- How do you kill Zenith Beam Frigates ? Just some hours ago i took out 2 systems from the AI (the first 2 ones) and promptly got a wave of 90 ships, mostly beam frigates and some speed boosters. I never found a counter....
