Anyone tried? http://store.steampowered.com/app/222730/ The description reminds of Skyward Collapse.

Gosh, I just stopped checking the forum for a week or two and then when I come back there is Exodus of the Machine? Skyward Collapse? At first I thought it's a wrong forum!!! How is SH selling? Good enough for a possible expansion?

Anyone like D & D? What do you think of D & D next? Which edition of D & D up to date do you prefer and why?

Shattered Haven / Identifying items
« on: March 14, 2013, 01:25:45 AM »
When you first come across of an item, it's described and a record added to the encyclopaedia. But after that it seems that there is no way of telling what an item is. There is no tooltips neither on quick-slots nor when you open inventory. The game does not tell you what it is you are holding even if you have something "in hand". Basically I can see no way of linking an item that I see on the screen to the encyclopaedia description of the item. If I could somehow find out *the name* of the item, I would not have this problem.

Now, you can tell, well when you see a hammer, don't you know that it's a hammer not a sickle? Well yes, with hammer it works. But there are other items in the game not-so-easily identifiable visibly.

So am I missing something? Is there a way to identify items in your inventory?

I rarely impressed by a game graphics. However this one looks very appealing. The concept is cool, I like tower-defence-like games but I do know that what's good in the ad can be a total flop in reality. And still it's such and eye candy for me that I'm almost tempted to buy and find out.

A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2 / Resistance burrows
« on: February 09, 2013, 10:37:26 PM »
So I embarked on the first farm plot after the game began. I noticed "Resistance burrow" at the entrance, which is basically an empty cave with a resistance member (I'm guessing? as the name is not shown) that you can't interact with. Pretty unremarkable place, which I have not discovered any use for yet.

Another peculiar thing is that the next strategic turn I'm trying to embark on the same title, but I am not given the usual "nothing to do here, are you sure?" speech.

Am I missing something? Are these resistance burrows useful in some way? Is there a point of doing such a farm title second time (well, more point than the others, that give "are you sure?" dialogue)?

A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2 / Where are the rest of perk tokens?

So this tile says, that there are two more tokens left on this tile? Where are they? I can't see them.

Hello, here is something I noticed, Water Sine damages destructible tiles when it comes to them from the side or bottom, but harmlessly bounces off them when coming to the from the top. Is this intended behaviour?

A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2 / Caliber explanation pop-up
« on: February 06, 2013, 01:43:16 PM »
Guys, on the very second or third screen from the start after you created a new world, there is this exploding bomb-thingie. If you shoot it with most of available spells, the Caliber explanation pop-up shows. Is it just me or is it slightly weird? I mean there was no one in the room to use the other spell but you. I understand that maybe the explosion is internally coded as a spell, thus the pop-up. Still won't it be confusing for new players to get this pop-up when there was no obvious other spell fired at them?

Also the explosion does not happen until your spell hit. So it's not quite clear how the collision happens. Confusing.

What do you think?

A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2 / Tactical advise please
« on: February 06, 2013, 04:04:16 AM »
Guy's I haven't played a lot of platformers, can someone suggest how do I beat a zillion of these spiders that just swarm and almost insta-kill me on entrance. I'm sure these can be beaten, but how?

So again, got the latest update, created a new world and embarked on the very first tile. Within the first screen I pick up the equipment on the screenshot attached.
When this awesome piece of equipment is on you basically can't move. Well you can move vertically, by jumping but you can't move horizontally.
Unless I'm sorely mistaken, this piece of equipment is not situational, it's outright useless, since you can't really play the game with it equipped. Do items like this *have* to be in treasure chests at all?

I remember this question being asked, but I don't remember the answer and I can't find it.
When you destroy a generator, everything in the chunk re-spawns, which in my opinion does not make much sense, because in majority of cases you are going to leave the chunk straight away anyway. Re-spawning gives you a false impression, that there is still something to do left in the chunk which is not the case.

I know that it might make slight thematic sense, that since time progresses when you destroy the generator stuffs come back to live, but to me it's not good enough reason for doing that.

So why?
