I dealt with mark 5 z eltric bombers sending in my fleet to distract them when they entered my planet and then wait for my defences, especially the full cap of sniper turrets to take them down. And These guys have 2 million hp. Still too many of them and I was crushed.

I think I read somewhere around here that AI Home Worlds as as far away away from your's as possible or something like that. Dunno if that changed.
