I remember reading an article from a game developer who basically complained that porting to android simply added 10x more need to "tech support" for < 10% of the sales.

But .. you know.. freedom.

Well, freedom for the consumer, not the developer. :)

That said, developing for iOS does have one glaring issue that Android does not have... and that is Apple. Going through their approval process can be a bear. I've heard it's a bit better than the last time I worked for a company trying to get an app on their store, but... that was awful.

I'll leave it up to you, but, this actually fits VERY WELL with Loki's personality. He very often acted like he was trying to be as powerful as other gods, and causing all the grief he could in the process. The idea of a more powerful god than Loki would very very much bother Loki, and force him to cause trouble. (incidently, this is part of the reason he wasn't included initially, I couldn't think of a way to include him that didn't seem to ignore serious parts of his personality. :) )

More or less, it is a matter of curiosity and keeping the atmosphere with Greek and Norse mythology.  Would you rather have some random peon make off with your goods or blame that mischievous Loki for making off with your wares? :)

Well, not all of them would work like this, but, I do love the idea of Loki being behind at least some of the mischeif. :)

Wow, $5? That's in the realms of "I'll buy it blind, and won't regret it even if it sucks"-territory. Very interesting. I was planning on checking it out regardless, but now it's not even an argument anymore :P

While we appreciate that, we also really hope you enjoy the game. I've been having a lot of fun with it lately, myself. Moreso than any of the other games I've worked on, if I'm being honest. :)

Yes. And, for those who might wonder, the "Tigers" in my screenname refers to the greatest baseball team in the world, the Detroit Tigers. :)

... I've pinged Josh about your note on the diamonds, etc. 

I'll take a look at those in the morning, and see if I can't make the game more difficult by requiring the use of more jewelry. :)

Also, don't forget Force ( http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGhs9S33RAeT5DEuKTO4Oew ). He covered Valley 2, in the past, so you may already have him on the list Erik, but he covers a decent number of Indie games and he's always fair with them, IMO.

Are these balance changes going to mean the Norse will need more horses?

Not necessarily. I like the idea of one faction needing a resource more than another. Do you think the norse need to use more horses?

Looks like the <Pop up after ending Norse turn> has an error--text stops right in the middle of a word.  I'm guessing you wanted to say something like, "Also, you may want to consider placing a mythological creature on the Greek side as well.  Mythological creatures are normally very expensive, but they are free during the Setup round!"  Or perhaps you were going to mention something about balancing out the Norse having a Light Elf (which, frankly, probably isn't necessary...Light Elves are a bit too weak right now, IMO).

I would also recommend noting that gods will automatically attack (and probably annihilate) any enemy unit that enters their attack range.  However, they do not otherwise move or act on their own.  That way, you avoid surprising the player by having a unit that suddenly starts tearing up enemy units.

Looks pretty good overall.

Ok, the tutorial text is updated yet again to reflect some other changes...

* Trade and diplomacy aren't available in the first game.

* You only have 9 APs in the set-up round now.

Unless you guys think that there is something glaringly wrong with it. I think the current text is what's going in the game.
