My understanding, from the dispatch mission screen, is that the professions give skill bonuses for matching characters - each dispatch material has a different professions stated.

This is normal if you haven't yet unlocked any mysteries - there are none unlocked at the start of the game. You need to kill some giant skelebots, some sea worms, or I-can't-remember-what to unlock them.

Right now, the "personality"/bonus buildings are still part of the settlement. The profession buildings and the farms are constructed on the world map, and will get bonuses if built on the right regions.

The scrolls required can be purchased for very large quantities of shards, or can be found in secret missions.

Nor does the airline industry - but I'm rostered weekdays. Weekends are either catching up backlog or covering leave.

And I could work an extra fifteen hours every week and still only break even with the backlog...

In other news, until a moment ago I'd forgotten that turning into a bat in windstorms was a very bad idea... Whoops.

Working sundays? Not good!

Mind you, this is the first time I've not been working overtime on a sunday since the start of June...

I find Leafy Whip at almost-point-blank range is reasonably effective. Miasma Whip doesn't have enough range.

From my point of view, other than the one spelling mistake I found in the achievements (on mantis), the game feels far more polished than many big-name releases. Even before release I've got far more entertainment and enjoyment out of AVWW than many big games at thrice the price.

I had no particular problem killing the small green amoeba bits when I encountered one for the first time earlier today. Not individually, anyways; they swarmed me and killed me about five seconds after I killed the parent blob (so I died, but I'd already won that boss tower).

It's one of those comics that unfortunately isn't updated on a schedule, so you never know when your next dose is coming...

Of course, that's not helped by Origin being pants and invasive either...

By the way - I'm loving the partially-complete ladders right now. They make climbing around caverns far more interesting.
