The MAD strikes me as a UI nightmare though. Since its role changes depending on the modules you'd want to select them by loadout and at that point why not make the most useful loadouts units?

I feel bad for Tidalis but since you guys shot down the suggestion to port it to smartphones I guess you don't want to see it again.

We probably will at some point, there just never seems to be enough time.  I think it would be fun on iPad.

Yay, progress! Last time the answer was "We didn't go indie to do ports and the controls wouldn't work on phones anyway".

Would the player be able to survive a superweapon attack if those were buffed relative to the rest of the things?

Once AIP passes some threshold (or perhaps when a large AIP increase is triggered). Or maybe when launching a massive superweapon as a response to AIP.

"You have my attention."

When destroying an irreplaceable (except an ARS):

"Did you forget your backups?"
"Your sacrifice is acknowledged"

When gaining firepower superiority on a player homeworld:
"Oh hello there."
"Is this the hole you dwell in?"
"Check."

I wonder if I should abstain because I have 5 units on that list.

I think what you mean in SC2 is stutter-stepping, a result of units being unable to shoot and move at the same time, players move units for a split second, order them to stop, let them fire and then give another move order.

I don't think a anti-single-shot ability is actually all that useful. Think about it, how many units fire a single high powered shot in AI War? Most of the heavy hitters fire shotgun volleys of high powered shots for an extremely high total damage and there's nothing your ability would do against that. Also common single-shotters like Zombards still come in groups. Spire beams are rapid fire weapons. Maybe it'd work as a meatshield against a Wrath Lance. And overkill should already offer a similar damage reduction when using swarmers.

Need help brainstorming:

I want a starship that deploys drones...drones not like enclaves but drones like TDL's or Blade Spawners.

These drones are slow, frail, have a short range, and are produced slowly with only a select few starship carriers.

But...they almost guarantee reclamation if they hit their target. They have artificially high reclamation (not normal damage)...although if needed they can have high straight up damage as well.

The Marine / Hacker assault carrier.

The advantage over the Leech Starship being?

However, given how AI Wars has shifted_so_hard away from units away from reclaimation
At the same time I get feedback from folks who exploit reclamation to basically disqualifyingly-cheesy levels.  They don't research mkII/III/etc fleet ships, they reclaim them.

Don't those people use parasites though? Zombies are fairly shortlived and not a substitute for your own fleet.

Also Cinth's objection sounds like the BNG does not adjust to the ship caps? It probably should do that since it's similar to the Ion Cannon with its instakill attacks.

Gravity Drains are very annoying to play against but I don't quit just from the AI rolling something. Also I seem to have the worst luck when it comes to the AI rolling SGDs anyway.

Why not just replace the blades with a regular gun? That won't be shaken off by cloaking or wormholes either.

Also I'm not a fan of arbitrary ammo immunities.
