I curse that I haven't had much time to play this week, so much new stuff to play with now. :)

Wow, that's pretty clever actually. :)  Nice work.

Cool, I like the new themes. :)  Things keep getting better and better.  I also intend to experiment with these new walls eventually.

Ok, I think this is the best I can do for now (heh, have to go to work). :D

11 Moves and 21,220 Points

This is a lot of fun, I never played much for score or turns before, so it forces me to think about the puzzle on a whole new level.

Thanks, I was wondering how you'd like it. :)  I'll have to go through and redo it myself in order to get my number of turns.  Oh, and by the way, the way you described is usually how I solve it.  With Sun and Moon it seems better to take your time and think more about what's going to happen to the blocks around the chain you're making.

*edit*
Ok, right now I think my best is 18 moves and 2,690 points.

Custom Puzzles Added To Community Free DLC / My Sun and Moon puzzle
« on: April 23, 2010, 11:00:24 PM »
I spent some time on a puzzle level involving nothing but sun and moon blocks the other night.  I'm not really sure how hard it is, and some things definitely ought to be possible in several ways, but there are a few elements that if you don't figure out how to do them right, you're sunk.  Also, if you're wondering about the blocks in the corners, they are there because otherwise the game ends (I *think* because there aren't three or more of the sun and moon blocks a piece, which normally shouldn't matter for them given how you make matches with them), telling me I lost before I'm done even though I can actually win.  Delete them and try it, it's pretty odd.  The ones in the middle are just there because it looked interesting to me. :P

Anyway, I hope someone gets some fun from it.

Hm, it would be a really good fit for the Wii too, with the pointer.

By the way, I have no idea why that block that eats other blocks has a sailor hat on, but I like it. :P

I tried the demo yesterday. It was pretty cool (the puzzle mode was really challenging, starting only a few puzzles in), but it seems more like something my mom and her friends would like... I may have found her next birthday present ;)
Not to get too off topic, but awesomely, I was thinking the same thing about my mother.

Thanks for the quote, The 9th Sage!  That last line makes a great addition for the player quotes section. :)  Glad you're enjoying it!

Maybe I should rephrase it to make more sense. ;)  I guess you understood what I meant though. lol

When a row is cleared, the game waits until the combo that caused the row to clear is done before the row clears. This way, the combo system is incorporated into the clearing of rows and it matters a lot less what the color is of a block that you need to clear. You'll be able to clear a bunch of rows one by one as part of a single combo, and then they'll all clear at once when that combo is finished. I figure the row could be shown slightly highlighted when it's waiting to be cleared to make it obvious to the player that the row will be gone soon.

Ah, actually, that does sound even better.

I haven't had much of a chance to try those modes yet, but I wanted to say I LOVE Sun and Moon.  It adds even more variety since you have to start thinking rather differently than the 'regular' game mode in order to get good at it.  I need to get trying more of these modes.

I definitely appreciate Zen Mode as well...kind of nice to have such a peaceful mode.  Very nice for practicing chains too.  Line mode is pretty cool too, definitely a fun spin on the usual mechanics of the game (it's kind of like fusing it with Tetris).

I just thought of a small feature request (if I might be so bold ;)).  Currently when you play a Quick Play game it seems that you have to pause and go back into the menu to start a new game.  Would it be possible to add a button that appears after your time runs out (assuming you aren't in endless mode) that either sends you directly back to the Quick Play settings or just restarts the game with the current settings?  It would feel more streamlined as far as starting a new game to me if there was something like that.

I don't think I've run into any bugs so far (no alt-tab problem for me either).

I might as well join in...Lars got me playing the game the other night, and it's really pretty awesome, I have to say.  Very addicting, like the better puzzle games seem to be.  The game mechanics (what with the spark and the arrowed blocks) is pretty interesting.  I know I have something good when I accidentally play it for several hours straight. :P
