Oh alright good to know.

I still haven't grasped the finer details of this game, it's complexity intrigues me.

Starcraft?

I freaking loved that game. I used to reread the game manuals over and over again just to read more of the story. Amazing campaign for that game. I actually played it more on the N64 at first too. It was my first RTS I'm pretty sure. Me and my buddy must've rented the same cartridge 4 or 5 times, then we eventually bought the same one a few months later. Then I bought the PC version and was unhappy that you could only use 12 units at once instead of 18, but surprised by the high res units.

True that. He is just a show or whatever, and not quite a reviewer exactly. Kinda like a caricature of a review or something.

Yeah, I agree, he's way more mainstream, and therefore expecting a AAA production values in every facet of the game, and if AI War is lacking in anyway he will definitely write about it. So he may put off way more people than he attracts. I was just throwing it out here all the same, in the offchance you hadn't heard about him.

I could lookup some amateur reviews and link em to you if that's what you would like. By amateurs I mean people that have some sort a following, but are still pretty much just younger people trying to make some sort of living off Youtube while making no money at all from it, hoping to make get the big break.

Speaking of good Silent Hill 2 reviews...

You could try to get Yahtzee in on the review thing, but I have a feeling everything he does review pays him quite the sum of money these days. It would be definitely a harsh review, but tons of people would see it and hopefully pique some interest SOMEWHERE, I mean look at his review for EVE, he pretty much based it to pieces, but CCP sponsored the whole thing.

Hey,

Very quick newb question here, what's the way so show what level planet the enemy planet is? I think I must have missed something somewhere, because I can no longer see the I, II, III, IV beside enemy planets. I get them scouted with the default Mark II scout and it just shows the total of the enemy ships. The display is set on Normal (N). Sorry for the question  :-[

Man, as hard as I try, I can't get into SOTS, I bought the ultimate package, pretty much on a whim when it was released, and I still haven't even finished a single game. Something about it just throwsme off :'(

That's what it said on your About Us page, but I couldn't believe it. Well congratulations to you and your team for a fine product. I got a buddy or two trying out the demo already. Unfortunately they are not RTS players, nor PC games. :-\

Lol yeah, I know what you mean, the combat itself is sort of weak, but I just  avoid fighting until the end, its the kind of game you never even need to fight in pretty much.

Hey,

If Arcen Games is still looking for a good way to market it game, why not approach the guys over at PC Gamer Blog, and see if they will write up one of these or these? Pretty much what it is is a writer for the website or whatever goes and plays a game, then writes about it indepth as it happens, adding some humour here and there, and then posts it once a day.

The ones I linked to are two for the game Galactic Civilization II, made by Stardock. Now that's a TBS/4X but I really think that it would do wonders for the popularity of the game. If this isn't something you are interested in ding, just go read them for fun, they are long, but really funny to read, especially if you've play GalCiv2.

Suggestion:

Remove Parasites entirely from the game

:o.  I would really really be against this!

I guess they could be removed and added as a cheat, but still, come on man really?! :'(

Alright, glad to see that you aren't bothered or anything, haha. It sure does seem like you have your hands full, which to me is a good thing, because that means more stuff for us.

And just how many coders are there? If it's you alone, I'll give you an internet cookie, otherwise no soup, err cookie, for you.

Alright sounds good.

On another note, my favorite method of playing recently has been massing parasites, and attack really really hard planets and massing as big a force as possible using enemy ships that I have turned and repaired with my engineers, it's interesting to play like that, but tough to actually win. Keep up the great work!
