ive been trying for 2 days but i can't seem to find a cool combination to take out AI home planet's mark V ships and its force fields..any advice??  :o

i tried to disable AI home's planet shields with it..reading the descriptions it would seem to be able to bring down the shields but it didn\'t happen. What's going on?

i can't seem to get out of ai's home planet after moving into it even though i kept ctrl+right click. it didn't happen before..is this a bug?

i tried looking around my spacedocks and starship costructors..and also com stations i can't seem to find it.

don't tell me i have to capture something to build this special thing??

the next planet im trying to conquer has warp counterattack guard post ii!

AI War / select ALL units of that type across all galaxies?

for example, is there any way i can select ALL my scouts across the whole galaxy at one go and move them to somewhere?

playing snake type maps, where each wormhole leads to only one path, it seems impossible not to destroy AI's command centres since leaving them alone would have them magically churn out units! theres not even an AI EYE or some special guard post or warpgates around there.

so the only way to stop this is to destroy the command centre, but since this is a snake type map, (with only one wormhole on each planet) it is quite bad since it forces me to increase the AI's progress without much choice. Leaving it alone will sure attack my previous captured planets before it.

AI War / how to stop auto production of engineers on specific planet when..

ive set globally, to produce engineers automatically.

however, on specific planets, i don't want it to auto build as it's a waste. On these planets, i want to put 0 as engineers, but i think the program won't know and would still refer back to the global auto build options if local planet's set to 0!

i ask this because im trying out snake type maps and each planet only has one wormhole. The problem is most of the time the generated map somehow generates AI on all adjacent nodes so i MUSt wipe all of them out else they'll come to me as long as i raised their AI progress.

should i just wipe everything out and leave their com station alone instead?

AI War / keep dying due to starships!!

im still playing random easier, and boy it is insanely difficult.

I always start off well, and then as i started exploring adjacent planets, the AI suddenly sends weird starships like starship mark II ,
and even though i have lots of bombers and fighters (like maybe around 100) i still can't kill a single starship!

and there it goes..starships could even enter force fields! and turrets can't even hold it. Only one starship was needed
to destroy my energy/supply generators and finally wallop my command station -- THE END!

so whats going on?? how can i stop this from happening??

is tehre any shortcut keys to select all attacking units in one galaxy at one go?

im always zooming out, and manually drag through the whole screen to do this. Is there a shortcut key instead?

AI War / engineers not FRD mode when they're grouped

im not sure this is the cforrect behaviour or not. But i have engineers set to auto FRD mode under the CTRL options. However, if i group them and bring them to other galaxies, they won't remember they need to auto FRD.

is this a bug?

AI War / make web site popups from ai war link direct to steam?

on instances like multiplayer screens, those that could link direct to a web site such as  'visit the meeting grounds forum' link brings ai war out of steam, and opens a web browser externally.

since it's using steam, why not just take advantage of steam and let it open from steam's browser?
