Just got Terraria for myself actually.

It is a nifty game, a bit tiresome to dig all around in th dirt if you wanna go explore caves, but I like the concept.

I am kind of regretting making a large world, its so far down to the nifty magma layers and the good metals, but I need thoose metals for my armor and weapons so I can survive ;P

Managed to go for 5 hours before a crash, so I guess that is an improement :)

I guess trying to renovate my entire empires buildings to new technology was too much for the game.

?_?

Derailing here happens so often I'm beginning to wonder why we even have trains.

It does makes things interesting though :)

I have a standing rule not to argue religion on the internet, so I'm restraining myself.

I do it on a lot of occations actually, as my opinions are pretty strong about it... but I will not go off on a rant here.

I've never got into competitive anything! That does not prevent me from enjoying a lot of games.

I guess that is true for me as well when it comes to games. I played a lot of StarCraft, but never in any competetive way. I really liked to design my own map and such tho.

I do play as competetive as possible when it comes to Civ4 games against my frinds tho :D

I got a strong bias for FF7 as the best FF as well, but then again it was also my first FF game ever :)

I agree on the characthers , to me its not that they are masculine, but they seem less "generic" to put it like that. Some later FF games tend to have somewhat generic characters that I can not relate or feel all that well to.

I got this months ago, but was so buggy it crashed all the time in multi. I have seen it getting several larges update since then, so might give it a new spin. Though the click fest sounds dull tbh... Thats why i never got into competetive starcraft :)

I still got my PS1 on the shelf actually, and FFVII on the shelf as well, along with some of my old favorites like Wipeout and Crash Bandicoot.

FFVI I only got in form of emulator though ;)

I kinda like the Sony controllers, but I guess that is becuase I went straight from NES to PS1 controllers. I never had a SNES myself, but a friend did, and I only got to expereince the good SNES games later when I got hold of an emulator. Kinda funny getting a fairly decent computer and getting a SNES emulator :D

But I guess PS1 games is fairly easy to emulate now a days. Even my PSP can do em easily enough. Think I got FFVII on my PSP as well when I think about it...

Honestly I hardly care about eve any more. I thought it was beautiful, but what I wanted was MMO Freelancer, what I got was spreadsheets with stars. However, I was vaguely looking forward to the Vampire MMO, still hoping it was going to be kind of like multiplayer Vampire: bloodlines. It looks like if it ever comes out it's going to be 50 dollar vampire pants. Sigh.

I agree. I wanted a cool wod mmo as well, but now that i see the plans ccp has for it i think i will stay away.

As for eve, i kinda wanted a freelancer multi as well. But i have played the part of low sec pirate for a long while, and recently helped build a 0.0 alliance. The former was easier and more fun, but the latter is not too bad either, but a higher degree of spreadsheets ;)

Been playing EVE for 3 years now, but the recent leaks and attitudes by CCP shows me that they no longer care about their players, only care for how much money they can extract from them. And some internal reviews apparently talks about that they are more eager to appease the investors then the players. ( http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/CCP-Games-Reviews-E159347.htm )

EVE was doing well with its subscriptions already. "Golden Goose" as someone in CCP called it. Now they are strangling the goose for more juice, but it might just kill it.

Thing is, I was somewhat OK wiht the PLEX thing, it was part counter to the RMT going on, and part giving CCP some more cash. Also helping the low on RL cash guys to play. Kind of a lesser evil that had come to be tolerated. So there was no real need to implement a new paywall for these new items. Only reason is to extract more money from the player base. You could already get a PEX and sell it, then get the new items.

Some may argue that it changes little for the avarage user, and they are somewhat right. But that is not the issue really. The issue is that now someone must pay RL cash for the items to be unlocked. PLEX used to go to gametime only, now it goes to gametime and items. Some items are no longer obtainable with pure in-game means.

This highlights CCPs attitude that they want to milk the players for more money, and the shadow of "Pay to Win" items is lurking in the shadows after seeing CCP's response and leaks.

Worse is the condecending way CCP is communicating to the players. Thats just not good form. They could take a lesson or several from Arcen.

Topping this off, is the quite frakly ridiculous prices on the new items in the MT store. Some items needs 4 PLEX to unlock. 70$ for an in game monocle, while the same ammount of PLEX can get you 4 months play time, or approx 1.4 Billion in game ISK. I find it insulting.

All in all I feel betrayed by CCP, but I am not surprised. The quality of the last expansions in EVE has been less then stellar, with new features abandoned and half done. I was willing to live in the hopes a little while, but now... I am tempted to remove all my accounts in EVE. I was already having a downtime period in EVE and getting back to it now... I dunno. I will not jump ship quite yet, will see how they handle the situation first.

Very interesting change.

I do not have time to read it all in this lunch break, but it does look good. I am sad I do not get my miniguns though ;) (not really that sad)

My first impression was actually that of a old Turtles game i Played on the NES. Were you ran around on a map and could enter buildings and such, and fight stuff. In other words, very different then Zelda/FF6 on the SNES, but not bad at all.

I am really looking forward to seeing more :)

I sometimes load up a save even if I loose just to see what I could have done differently and try and learn form that. I still consider the game "lost", but it is also an opportunity to test some new stuff (often very unusual tactics and such just ot give em a try) without fear of loosing again ;).

Given that we knew fairly little already, I say any changes you desire to make in order to make a better game is good imo.

If you read the various interviews and developer diaries, etc, you actually know an immense amount.  But that information is pretty spread out, to say the least. ;)

I guess that is true :)
