If starting is at 9pm, then I propably can play 1 hour max. That is on weekdays, on weekends I can keep playing to half past 10 mostly.
And if it is 9pm UK time, then that is horrible for me.

If possible 8pm, or even 7 CET.

P.S. I dont have much time tuesdays and fridays are bad too.

Edit: Weekends would be awesome, and if ktoff stops reacting, I am (almost) always up for a game. (but watch out, I dont check the forums often and I am playing a MMO mostly)

Extraedit: The MMO is Myst Online Uru Live again. Yes, uru is back online and it is free this time. Please dont mind me posting this, it is nice to have new people in the cavern. My ID is 03858040 and name is cheesy13.

Ok, I'm way too late...
I am in the same timezone (Netherlands) and wouldn't mind playing a game sometimes.
And it just so happens that I today returned from a 4-day trip to Berlin, not that it is of any importance.
Lastly, I can't speak "Deutsch" that well yet... (I suck)

P.S. If you have steam, you can add me, yayforcheese too.

And for the gaid raiding, if you leave one gate, then you know waves will come from that wormhole.

That makes sure you can survive raids better, because you don't have to build up more defenses beforehand or move ships there.

And if I'm right, engineers don't repair things that are on low power mode, or is that only with things that aren't done building

And about setting up games, I have no school next week, (yes I go to school) so I have a whole lot of free time then.

AI War Strategy Discussion / Re: Electric Turrets
« on: February 15, 2010, 09:42:09 AM »
However, a decent alternative strategy with Space Planes (and a good strategy with cloaked units overall) is to send them in powered down (low power mode button in the lower left).  While powered down, they will not open fire on enemy units and therefore will no lose their cloak

that may not work while the "lightning turrets fire at cloacked ships" problem is still up ( ??? don't know if it's still up or not ??? )

well, the "take the lightning turrets out first with your fighters, bombers, frigates and other ships" suggestion is propably the easiest thing to do and pretty much always working.

Anyways, good luck!

EDIT: the problem was already solved some time ago.

AI War Strategy Discussion / Re: Taking down SuperFortresses
« on: February 15, 2010, 09:33:06 AM »
You could take the path through the systems with permamines with transports, you can clear the mines with cleanup drones.
And for the superfortress, I mostly attack them with my whole fleet at once, ignoring other stuff.

And yes, you can use lightning warheads, but you should make sure there aren't troops in the way of you target, or they might make them explode too soon.
Also you could post a save and let the people here try stuff, or ignore the system(s) till you can handle them.

Lastly, if reinforcements are realy bugging you, try taking out the command posts (not command station or that too if you're sure) on the planet (with a bunch of fighters or something).

Hope something helps :)

:-X THAT IS ALL :-X

My new computer is now up and running ;D, but not entirely ready for a game (it's a lot faster than the old one, so there will be no problems with speed).

I won't play today, but I can play tomorrow or next weekends.

AI War Strategy Discussion / Re: Post Your Favorite Strategy!
« on: February 07, 2010, 02:37:48 AM »
My main enemy system killing strategy includes that all my ships on the planet fly, in group-mode, around all the destroyable points of interest (that are interesting for destruction (no ARS) but including wormhole defenses), manually target starships/fortresses/superfortress and at the end of the tripp blow up the warpgates and OCS or HCS and return to the incomming wormhole.

An other mostly useless strategy is flooding or spamming, I keep sending ships to enemy space. And sometimes it works.
I could hold up a steady good stream of ships without losing metal and crystal once!

Anyways, faforite strategy is the upper one (I also like to destroy zenith reserves)

hello too,

my steam name is yayforcheese, timezone is CET (GMT+1) and my availability=saterdays/sundays, but I stay up later on saterdays.
By the way, my computer is currently old and annoyingly slow, but I'm getting a new computer soon (round 20th of february or something)

I'm not in for a co-op game until I get my new computer because this one lags quite a bit with only 2K units on screen.

That's all, oh, and nice to meet you Thinking42Man (just being nice)

EDIT: I mean 700/800 firing units, or about that amount moving when the game starts to annoyingly lag

EDIT2: I'm buying a new computer next saterday.

EDIT3: Not yayforcheese anymore, its now cheesyguy (for the sake of it looking a bit less weird)
