DescriptionI've seen this a number of times; I think this bug was supposed to have been fixed in an earlier version, but it's been happening again now. Saw it probably a good 4 or 5 times in my session just now.

In the screenshot the Chimera jumped right over/through the Cerberus, starting on the ruins tile in front of it.

It's not always related to chokepoints and barred paths though; I've seen units that COULD just go around others instead sort of shortcut right through them.

Oh! So the chimera jumped across the cerberus and then back to its current position, is that right? All one big long extra-quick jump? That might speak to some issue in the "grab bonus from ruin" issue, which would shed some good light on things in terms of me finally fixing this.

Actually, I remember the situation that led to that screenshot; the Chimera started on the ruin tile right in front of Cerberus, and just leaped over him to attack the city that Cerberus was guarding. It wasnt a "grab and bounce back" in that case. Though jumping and grabbing a ruin happens just as frequently. Both versions of this bug seem relatively common.

But yeah, in this case he jumped and then just stayed on the tile he landed on.

Ok, I've *finally* gotten this bug captured reliably in a save file here, which I am uploading now.

When you load that, just hit end turn right away, and specifically watch what Njord does; I had placed one of his tokens in a specific spot, currently to the south of him, to get him to smash through the blue ally camp there, but instead he just leaps right over the archery building, doing that fast-motion jump that happens whenever this bug appears, landing on the tile with the token.

I've reloaded this save over and over and over to make sure it works, and every single time, he does exactly that.... so I'm hoping this might help you get rid of this most irritating bug.

It should be noted though that most of the time when this one happens, it's one unit jumping over an enemy unit, and there are usually no tokens involved.

Ok, another update: I've got Njord there "super-jumping" now; leaping over 6 tiles in one go. Again, this is easily replicated with that save file.

To make it happen: After the Reginnaglar token fires off, Njord should be basically trapped behind that blue ally camp with no way back out except through it. There is a bandit myth cave nearby called "Hood Den", place Njord's other token next to it so that the cave is between him and the token; when he takes his turn, as long as the game did not annoyingly fill the spot beside him with a land tile, he should leap over all 6 tiles in a straight line to reach that token. Moves really fast when doing this.

Well, the gods thing is different from the other cases, sadly...

* Fixed a bug that was actually an old bit of intentional (but bad idea) code where gods would do "super jumps" over tiles if they could not reach a target token they were trying to reach.

Ooh! I have a save with a Bushi jumping over an Onibaba -- it doesn't do it every last time, but close enough for me to look into this well. Sweet!

Hooray!

* Fixed a bug where if a unit would "jump" over an enemy if they were trying to attack a different tile that was beyond the enemy they were trying to move past. This only occurred under certain circumstances, mainly when there was not an alternate route and potentially more frequently when the moving unit could not damage the unit that was in its way.
