Summary0001545: New option: Random Minor Factions
DescriptionBasically, I'd love it if there was an option to have randomly selected minor factions.

The most functional way I can think of it simply having a checkbox that, when enabled, goes through the selected minor factions, and has 50% chance of including each in a game. The benefit of doing it this way is that even though it's randomized, you can still exclude certain minor factions from the randomization by simply deselecting them from the main list.

Alternative could be some sort of drop-down box that offers randomization based on total amounts: Random (some), Random (several), Random (many). 'some' would have 25% chance for each faction, 'several' is 50% and 'many' is 75%.

Or there could be options based on difficulty: Random (easy), Random (moderate), Random (hard). 'Easy' would include stuff that's mostly beneficial with little to no disadvantages. 'Moderate' would also include stuff that is beneficial, but comes with penalties/disadvantages, like most golems. 'Hard' would include everything. There could also be options for 'Moderate/Hard' or 'Hard only), to exclude the more beneficial stuff from randomization.

Either way, I'd enjoy being surprised regarding what minor factions I end up with, rather than have 'em all, or having to know in advance. ;)

Out of scope for right now, but I think it's a great idea for later. Possibly a community DLC suggestion.

Heh, I had a thread suggesting exactly this in the old suggestions forum. I would add that it'd be nice to do the same thing with AI Plots, which I see KDR already suggested here.

It should probably be to select the AI Minor Factions you're willing to play with, and then the Random (Some/moderate/many) option. That way you don't end up with, say, Marauders or Roaming Enclaves if you absolutely hate them.
