DescriptionGiven the cap on total number of districts is being removed, how about dropping the distance a district has to be distant from other districts and the lander to 10 (or less) instead of 25?

I finally got a change to play a bit, and 25 is huge!

Also, incidental to this, given the price of Civic Centers, I don't see a problem with a massive spamming of them. Even with the resource generation they provide, they aren't any better than just using the proper buildings and applying Civic Centers to stay away from building cap.

* The area that an individual district can have in it is pretty darn small, but you can chain them together quite well, and at this point the minimum distance between districts is only 12, rather than 25. That makes it so that you can do interesting things with them without _having_ to be spread all over the map.

Hahaha. It was just the number that felt right as I was testing it.

Incidentally, unfortunately no release tonight. The building/district changes took me a solid four and a half hours, and that was more than I'd anticipated. I still have another 3-4 hours to go on the industry/commercial stuff and reorganizing the tech tree to accommodate all this stuff (there's like 6 techs and social progress things with no purpose now, and a number of techs that now make no sense in the order they are in), so I need to make sure to take the time to do that properly in the morning.

Given that its a beta, and the tech tree is tentative, why not just set the unused techs cost to 0, and spend your time on more important things (sleeping for example)? Until you are sure this is how you want to go with things, spending extra effort on it seems potentially wasteful.

The next wave of testers is supposed to come shortly after this update goes through now. Pretty sure Chris wants them to have a solid first impression, not one that has some glaring holes. .840 was solid when I came in .855 (probably .860 at release) needs to have that feel too.

Yep, precisely. And we can't evaluate this properly without having it be part of the tech tree. The costs aren't a big deal, it's more a matter of the techs being in the wrong places, etc.
