Summary0019082: Shots moving after pausing game
DescriptionI saved a game mid combat, then reloaded it. When I reloaded it the "Paused" text did not appear immediately. When I went to the planet on which the fight was happening there were still some shots in midair. Some of them were moving oddly slowly. Eventually the shots vanished and the "Paused!" text appeared.

Probly a bug in the lerping code, where it doesn't handle pause properly.

I can reproduce this by pausing the game mid combat. What happens here is the shots slowly come to a stop (not a bad effect), but then there's a sudden burst of shots, and then it comes to pause properly.

Yes, here's a new saved game, go to Koenig. It's not as bad though.

In 0.402, coming up, can you still see it? I don't have a savegame from you that shows this, I think it wasn't uploaded.

I do see this happen when the game pauses during normal play, and I think that's okay (the way it presently happens). But in terms of loading the game, that definitely should not happen.

Yeah, I don't remember why I actually failed to upload the saved game. My bad. I'll investigate this again once .402 comes out.

I gave it a try on .401. If you load this game and then go to the planet, you'll see the shots moving for a second before they come to a stop. It looks a bit weird, but it does add a bit of dynamism and a sense of "returning to an active battle".

I must say it's really nice to have appropriately named save files now! Are you going to include that in .402 ;-)?
