| Summary | 0005724: Intro / Tutorial Mission - no light! | ||||||||
| Description | As an avid Ball of Light man, I for one was massively in favour of taking Emit Light away from the user. Enchants was a perfect solution, I feel. However, now there's no way to cast light that I've found in the intro mission - which can cause it to become rather significantly more difficult, if not altogether impossible! Perhaps the player should be given Ball of Light right off the bat? I actually think that if you do that, some players (like me) will continue to use it; but others - the majority, even - will REALLY like the first light enchant they get, as it means they no longer have to faff about with light balls all over the shop. | ||||||||

Chris: There's an enchant there in the same place that emit light used to be. |

So there is! Completely missed it. Probably needs a bit more instruction for that in-game then, eh? (I'm sure you've got that coming!) I still think Ball of Light is a more natural starting place, as it's the least convenient to the player. But maybe that's just me! |

Well, I think we're going to stick with the enchant, and get better in-game instructions on that. The big reason is that this is a good, natural way to teach players about enchants! As for the use of ball of light, I think that players might use them more when we get more enchants in the game and players get a torso enchant that they want to use more than emit light ;) |

Sure, that's cool too. |
