Kieth mentioned in the release notes explicitly that the changes were only for the standalone ones. I'm guessing that means he realized that the modules need to be looked at, but he has something a bit different in mind for them, instead of just merely copying the stats over.

"Heavy Beam Cannons (just the human standalone ones, not any of the spire variants, though the spire variants were impacted by the m+c and knowledge cost changes)"

D'oh, my eyes just glanced over that part immediately to the wonderful turret buffs. Still, I think they should be buffed... maybe not the Spire city ones which already do 500k damage*shots, but the fleet ones. 100k*3/6/12 is significantly weak.

I was tempted to buff the module ones (they're defined in the same block of code, I had to intentionally exclude them) but I was under the impression that spire capital ships were already basically OP. A fun, not-entirely-over-the-moon kind of OP, but I figured that pushing that even more by buffing the HBC modules wouldn't be a great idea :)

100k is weak. Wow, just look at how much HP has been inflated over the year or two.

I am almost tempted to suggest, for EVERYTHING in the game, dividing all HPs, weapon damages, armor, armor peircing, and all other linearly scaled stuff dealing with durability, by 10, or maybe even 100. It would not change balance or pacing at all (short of rounding error), but it would make the numbers nicer to look at.

I think they're essentially OP as well, but the numbers with them are weird as it is. If necessary, flat nerf the main beam weapons on the larger craft (or destroyers+ be unable to attack smaller craft, or 0.xx multiplier, something) and buff up the HBCs and remove their bonus multipliers? Then again, you probably would have to buff the lasers too...

If the HBC turrets are fun to use, and the spire capital ships are fun to use, I really don't see a reason to massively change the stats of one or the other simply for consistency's sake :) The shields that the spire ships use are very different because of spire technology, and while the laser/hbc stuff actually used by them also is a hybrid with human tech it's not like they have to be identical.
