| Summary | 0007042: Botnet Golem reclaims some ships as regular | ||||||||
| Description | In my current game, I had sent a Botnet Golem and a Black Widow Golem to defend against a counter-attack wave. When I checked the planet afterwards, a few of the enemy ships had been reclaimed as regular, non-zombie ships. I have never played with golems before, so I don't know if the bug has been around for a while. My completely uneducated guess would be that it could have something to do with reclamation "spilling over", as added in 5.031, without properly marking that the ship will be reclaimed as a zombie ship as opposed to a regular ship. I have included two savegames; one from several minutes before the wave arrives (to aid in reproducing the bug) and one shortly after the wave (to show the results). The planet in question is Ulthar near the bottom right-hand corner. | ||||||||

I think I've seen this as well a few times when I've popped a botnet golem by itself (or maybe just with a hive golem of two to release wasps)) into a system with a large AI crowd parked around the wormhole. After the zombies move away, I've seen a bunch of ships of the type the AI had, now under my control sitting around by the wormhole. Maybe 20-50 of them out of the 500+ the AI parked there. |

I've also seen, that botnet golem reclaims ships up to full cap as normal ships. I'm not 100% sure, but this happens only if botnet golem attacks already damaged ship. |

For 5.034: * Ships killed by a zombie-reclamator no longer spread any excess reclamation damage they have to other ships. The spreading mechanic was intended to make non-zombie-reclamators more reliable; the zombie reclamators were already plenty powerful enough :) Thanks :) |
