Summary0008873: Will-o-Wisp can trap me in a maze
DescriptionIn the situation in this (partial) screen shot, I am being held by a Wisp. I can jump up out of its range, but not descend any lower. However, it isn't moving any closer to ME, and I can't kill it from where I'm being held. There's a decent chance that the door I need to find to get to the Overlord is beyond this Wisp :(

ETA: I got free by using a Bat scroll, but this still seems buggy and undesirable.

Maybe teleporting closer or dropping a rhino would have worked, too? I wonder if equipping Stone Legs would have helped (probably not, but maybe).

Just for the record, summoned Rhino and Tornado stayed on my level (on the ladder). Summoned Dire Butterfly looked like perhaps it *could* have flown over to the Wisp, but didn't choose to in two attempts. Stone Legs did not change my behavior at all; I still was 'grabbed' the instant I crossed the threshold. (Though now that you mention it, it seems like Stone Legs should give at least partial Wisp resistance.)

(o_O that's odd. I thought Rhinos dropped through platforms. Do you think the W-o-W was keeping it away, too? And it seems like teleport could have worked.)

How about if Will-o-Wisps couldn't immobilize you, but at best could slow you down a lot?

I haven't used Rhinos a lot, so I'm not sure. I haven't used Teleport at all (not sure why), so didn't think of trying it.

For 1.201:

* Will-o-wisp gravity now only affects you if it has "full" line-of-sight on you, meaning a straight-line (of tiles, not a literal line) has to exist from its center of mass to your top-center-point, bottom-center-point, left-center-point, and right-center-point.

Thanks :)
