Overview
Minor factions are smaller AI forces that can be enabled in games of AI War starting with AI War 3.0. The most interesting thing about minor factions is that they can be enabled in any combination with each other, and in combination with the usual larger actual AI types. Minor factions tend to add a bit more complexity to the game, however, so they are not recommended for new players on their first campaign or two.
Base Game
Human Resistance Fighters reside in deep space and will come to aid the humans in large battles if they are outnumbered. A large number of their powerful ships can easily turn the tide of battle. As they only help the player, it is a good choice for newer players to enable.
Human Marauders are a sort of counterbalance to Resistance Fighters. They will sometimes come out of deep space to raid AI or human planets. A marauder attack could interfere with your offensive operations or turn a small AI incursion into a serious threat.
